AIT Center for Energy has long been established as an expert in the field of PV research and development and providing quality assurance services. It has state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure and is actively involved in the development of the emerging PV technologies and in testing services for solar cells, modules and power plants. Their services are in compliance with the IEC 61215, IEC 61646 and IEC 61730 standards and specialized R&D methods.
Tasks
AIT’s role is to develop a harmonized preconditioning procedure for the commercial (CIGS, CdTe) and emerging (CZTSSe) thin-film PV modules technologies, which is a stabilization method to achieve a reliable power-rating of a PV module. Studying the emerging technology CZTSSe mini-modules for degradation and annealing under different level of irradiances and temperature to understand the ordering kinetics of the material.
